Dr. Nazia Ejaz has over a decade of teaching experience, particularly in the field of Biomedical Engineering. She holds a PhD degree in Engineering with a specialization in Biomechanics and Rehabilitation Engineering from Ziauddin University, Karachi, Pakistan in 2024. She earned her Master’s in Biomedical Engineering from Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology in 2017 from Karachi, Pakistan. She did her Bachelor’s in Biomedical Engineering from Ziauddin University, Faculty of Engineering, Science, Technology & Management, Karachi, Pakistan in 2014.She was honored with the Gold Medal for Best Graduate by Ziauddin University in recognition of her outstanding academic performance.Her research interests span across gait analysis, smart rehabilitation devices, machine learning applications in healthcare, medical device innovation, and use of machine learning in biological classifications. She has published her research work in reputed international peer-reviewed journals and international conferences in these domains. She successfully secured Erasmus+ BIOMED5.0 funding for capacity building in digital healthcare education, in collaboration with 10 universities and the Pakistan Engineering Council. As Chairperson, Dr. Ejaz actively contributes to curriculum development, student mentorship, and fostering international research collaborations. She is passionate about integrating emerging technologies such as AI, AR/VR, and IoT into biomedical engineering education and research.
