Overview

The University fully furnished central Library established in 1987, having more than 30,000 Technical Books, Research Journals, and Magazines national and local newspapers. The university Library has also access to many reputed online Journal through HEC digital Library. In addition to central Library, each academic department has its own departmental Library as well.

We provide vital support for students, researchers and staff, complementing academic activities, and make available access to the world of information print or online, multimedia

Vision

The library will make a further contribution to the university by providing necessary information to support learning,teaching and research programs. It will empower students by establishing information literacy programs.

Mission

The library of BUET Khuzdar aims to become a center of excellence that supports and promotes high academic standards in undergraduate and postgraduate courses and in research.

Objectives

  • To develop learning and teaching resources.
  • To establish program and activities to encourage students to read.
  • To make information available for learning and research purposes.
  • To improve the quality of library services as well as management tools and procedures.
  • To empower library staff and enhance their skills.

Membership Rules

  • Members desirous of using the library must get themselves registered by applying for Library membership on a form obtainable from the library.
  • All BUETK faculty/staff and students are entitled to become member and can borrow books from the library.
  • A card known as the "Library Card" will be issued to each of the person permitted to draw books from the library. Such cards shall be strictly "non-transferable", and shall have to be presented at the circulation counter at the time of drawing or returning books, etc. This card shall be surrendered at the time of obtaining clearance certificate on leaving the University.
  • The library card will be valid up-to the date mentioned on it. A member should get the card renewed before it expires, if he/she so desires.
