Master of Computer Engineering

A two years degree program approved by Higher Education Commission (HEC), Islamabad, which is in-line with the international standards.

Eligibility Criteria

As per postgraduate Regulations of BUETK, following is eligibility criteria

  • Four years BS/BE/BSc. degree in Computer (Systems) Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent in the relevant field with minimum CGPA 2.0 out of 4.0 or 3.0 out of 5.0 or equivalent recognized by Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) & Higher Education Commission (HEC)
  • The candidates will be required to complete the deficiency coursework if required. The deficiency coursework will be determined on the basis of the core courses of the B.E (Computer Systems) degree.

Degree Requirements

In order to obtain Master of Computer Engineering degree a student must:

  1. Pass three (3) courses (9 credit hours) from the core courses
  2. Pass five (5) courses (15 credit hours) from graduate elective courses
  3. Satisfactorily complete a Research Project Thesis of 6 credit hours or equivalent of 2 courses of 6 credit hours
