Dr. Imran Sarwar received his BE degree from Balochistan university of engineering and technology Khuzdar in 2012 with distinction. He was also HEC scholarship holder during his BE. After his BE he received HEC scholarship for MS leading to PhD under HRDI-UESTP UETS, scholarship program in 2012. He went to Politecnico di Torino, Italy for Masters and PhD. He received his Masters degree in 2012 and PhD in 2019.

His research area includes, Microwave imaging for biomedical applications (breast Cancer Detection, Brain Stroke Monitoring), Hardware acceleration, Imaging Algorithm optimization, FPGAs, Embedded Systems and VLSI.
