Information and communication technologies are emerging as key disciplines of the 21st century. BUETK has made pioneering contributions in the region towards higher education and research, particularly in the field of computing after the establishment of the department of computer science. BUETK has a strong tradition of higher education with several departments and is proud of the contribution made to the country in the field of science and technology.

The Department aspires to be a center of excellence in computer science education at all level. The program is accredited by National Computing Education Accreditation Council (NCEAC), which is the accreditation body for computing programs in the country under the administrative control of higher education commission.

The Department has been actively developing and revising our undergraduate and postgraduate curriculum to fulfill the requirements of international and national standards and our stakeholders. We strongly believe that the Department’s vision to be a highly reputable computer science institution could only be achieved through our active engagement in research and skill enhancement.
